PreCip®

PreCip is waterproof, breathable, supple, and comfortable next to your skin. The key to PreCip is its barrier technology: a microporous PU that’s impregnated with silicon dioxide particles. These particles create small, numerous, very consistent holes that allow the barrier to pass smaller water vapor molecules but not the bigger liquid ones. The silicon dioxide particles keep these pores consistent, numerous, and very small-unlike other microporous barriers that have inconsistent pores. The barrier then has a protein-based, hydrophilic “top coat” next to your skin. We call it Dry Touch because it feels so dry and comfortable against your body. Dry Touch is hydrophilic (likes water) so that it actually absorbs a bit of your next-to-skin moisture.
